Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated August 9, 2026
This policy sets the boundaries for using LinkedIn Voice Builder. It forms part of our Terms of Service, and breaching it can cost you your account. The short version: write as yourself, tell the truth, and don't abuse the platform.
1. Scope
This policy applies to everyone who uses the Service and to all content you submit or generate with it. It is incorporated into our Terms of Service, and terms defined there have the same meaning here.
2. Content you must not create or publish
Do not use the Service to produce, or to help you publish, content that:
- Is unlawful, or promotes or facilitates unlawful activity.
- Is defamatory, harassing, threatening, or intended to demean or bully an identifiable person.
- Incites violence or hatred against people on the basis of a protected characteristic — including race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, or age.
- Infringes anyone's copyright, trademark, trade secret, privacy, or other rights — including passing off someone else's writing as your own sample content.
- Is sexually explicit, or sexualises minors in any way.
- Discloses another person's private or confidential information without their permission, including your employer's or client's confidential material.
- Is knowingly false or deceptive, including fabricated statistics, invented quotations, or made-up research citations presented as fact.
- Constitutes spam, or is generated in bulk to manipulate engagement, rankings, or any platform's recommendation systems.
3. Impersonation and honest attribution
- Write as yourself or as an organisation you are authorised to represent. Do not use the Service to impersonate another person, brand, or public figure.
- Do not build a writing profile from someone else's posts in order to publish content that appears to be theirs.
- Do not present generated drafts as the independent work of a third party who did not write or approve them.
- Disclose AI assistance where your audience, your employer, your profession, or your regulator would reasonably expect it.
4. High-stakes advice
Drafts are not professional advice and are not verified. Take particular care before publishing content that gives medical, legal, financial, tax, or safety guidance. If you publish in a regulated field, you are responsible for meeting the standards that apply to you — including any required disclosures, disclaimers, or approvals.
5. Respecting other platforms
Where you publish content produced with the Service — on LinkedIn or anywhere else — you must comply with that platform's own terms, including its rules on automation, authenticity, and commercial content. Connecting your LinkedIn account does not transfer that responsibility to us.
6. Technical restrictions
Do not:
- Circumvent plan limits, rate limits, quotas, or paywalls, or create multiple accounts to do so.
- Access the Service by automated means other than interfaces we provide, or scrape it.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract our prompts, source code, or model configuration.
- Resell, sublicense, or provide the Service to third parties as your own product without a written agreement with us.
- Probe, scan, or test the security of the Service without our prior written permission, or interfere with its normal operation.
- Upload malware, or use the Service to attack any system.
- Use the Service to develop a competing product, or to generate training data for another model.
7. Reporting and enforcement
Report abuse to hello@linkedinvoicebuilder.com. Where we identify a breach, we may — depending on its seriousness — warn you, remove content, restrict features, suspend or terminate your account, or report the matter to law enforcement.
We aim to act proportionately and, where practical, to warn you first and give you a chance to explain. We reserve the right to act immediately and without notice for serious breaches — particularly those involving illegality, security, or harm to others. Termination for breach does not entitle you to a refund.
8. Changes
We may update this policy as the product and the risks around it change. Material changes will be notified before they take effect.
